The Best Waterfront & Outdoor Dining Spots in Baltimore (Summer 2026)

There is nothing quite like a warm Baltimore evening spent sipping an orange crush, cracking crabs, or dining al fresco by the harbor. If you're anything like me, if the sun is shining, I need to be dining outside.

Whether you’re looking for a chic courtyard, a lively deck bar, or a dog-friendly beer garden, here are the top outdoor dining and drinking spots to visit in Charm City this summer.

Waterfront & Harbor Views

• Nick’s Fish House (Baltimore Peninsula): A true Baltimore staple (and a personal fave). Come here for steamed crabs on the deck, live music, and a Natty Boh or orange crush.

• Rye Street Tavern (Baltimore Peninsula): Features a massive outdoor patio and bar—the ideal spot to watch the sunset and snag half-price oysters during late-night happy hour.

• Little Havana (Locust Point): Another favorite of mine and one I visit weekly! Grab a mojito, order a plate of tacos, and kick back in their spacious outdoor courtyard overlooking the Harborview Marina.

• Bellini’s Harbor View: Tucked away in a quiet neighborhood right on the water, this is the ultimate spot for a refreshing Spritz (plus, you can grab DiPasquale’s inside to eat).

• Barcocina (Fells Point): If you want true waterfront- don't skip this Mexican joint in Fells Point!

• Azumi (Harbor East): If you're looking for a little splurge, nothing beats sitting outside at Azumi watching the sun set over the harbor on a beautiful night.

Charming Courtyards & Patio Bites

• Bodhi Corner (Federal Hill): A true hidden gem in South Baltimore! Out the back door of the restaurant is a sweet hidden courtyard- paired with authentic Thai food, this place is another favorite of mine.

• Thames Street Oyster House (Fells Point): Beyond their famous lobster roll, they feature a sweet, secluded courtyard in the back along with outdoor seating right on Thames Street.

• Cece’s (Roland Park): Looking for a peaceful getaway from the hustle and bustle? Cece's offers an elegant and relaxing outdoor dining experience. Pro tip: Check out "Off Menu Tuesdays" for surprise creations from the chefs and bartenders.

• Gertrudes (Remington): Tucked away at the Baltimore Museum of Art, Gertrudes patio has you dining among the sculpture garden. If you're looking for unique dining, I highly recommend.

Open-Air Beer Gardens & Cocktail Courtyards

• Hampden Yards (Hampden): A super laid-back, dog-friendly watering hole that holds the crown as Hampden’s only outdoor beer garden. If beer isn't your thing, their frozen frosés and crushes are on deck.

• Fadensonnen (Old Goucher): Located in Old Goucher, their open-air courtyard is perfect for a breezy summer afternoon sipping natural wine, craft beer, cocktails, or sake. Perfect for design lovers.

• Guinness Open Gate Brewery (Halethorpe): Located at the historic site of Maryland's first post-prohibition distillery, this spot offers a vast open courtyard, events, and workshops. It’s a great destination when out-of-town guests are visiting!

• Bowleys on the Bay (Middle River): Worth the short drive into Baltimore County if you’re looking for an adventure. Enjoy deck seating and a beach bar serving up frozen drinks.
